I am a partner at Donati Maisonneuve and have more than 20 years of experience in litigation and insurance. After obtaining my law degree from Université de Montréal, I was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1992 and since then my practice has focused mainly on civil litigation, insurance law and liability law. I advise and represent various insurance companies before the courts of all jurisdictions in matters of both personal insurance as well as property and casualty insurance.
I like to find solutions that meet our clients’ needs and assess how to resolve their disputes efficiently, through direct negotiation and often through mediation. I have completed a Master’s degree in dispute prevention and settlement at Université de Sherbrooke.
I am an accredited civil and commercial mediator and arbitrator and a member of the Institute of Mediation and Arbitration of Quebec (IMAQ) and the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC).
I translate and revise the insurance products marketed by our clients to ensure compliance with Quebec legislation and regulations, in particular regarding the distribution of financial products and services.
I am dedicated to the Bar. I was a member of the Montreal Bar’s Salon Visez Droit committee for nearly 15 years and I currently act as an inquiry member of the Quebec Bar’s Fonds d’indemnisation. I act as mediator for the Small Claims division of the Court of Quebec. Additionally, as the Articling Principal at our firm, I believe in mentoring and I enjoy contributing to the development of young lawyers.
